**Larry Hankin, Stanley Kamel.** The flirtatious bickering between Matt and Jenny is back in the script this week. They argue constantly. It’s mildly amusing. The a-story concerns a bank robber who turns himself in to Jenny on camera. It’s okay, because Hankin is very good. Except for Todd Susman none of new s2 cast bring much to the show. Horrendously unfunny despite being written by Ron Osborn & Jeff Reno of Moonlighting, Duckman, etc. Why is it going wrong? Jenny is written as a one-note angry feminist. Ranting because she’s not given dangerous assignments, then stumbling when she gets one because she’s terrified of heights. It seems like Matt is no longer Jenny’s nemesis. New boss Albert (G.W. Bailey) is the one she’s battling with. Matt is just an observer. Doesn’t that negate the entire premise of the show? _Fall 1983: Sundays on CBS after The Jefferesons, before Trapper John MD.
