#OTD in 1922, Bartolomeo Fontana entered #NewJersey State Prison to serve a life sentence for the underworld-ordered killing of his friend Camillo Caiozzo. Fontana brought to light the activities of an interstate gang of #Mafia assassins known as the #GoodKillers, but the gang leaders he identified, including future #Buffalo crime boss Stefano #Magaddino, went free.
