Alright Citizens of Fedi, I have another #Poll for y'all. It's not technically part of the series I'm working on, but I had a chat recently and it got me curious.

#CW talk of penis buoyancy

Do penises (penii?) float in water? And does that change at all depending on hormonal balance or similar factors?

The thought of a correlation between "boyancy" and "buoyancy" is hilarious to me for some reason.

You don't have to be a penis owner to respond to this poll, but it is preferred that you have at least some experience with penises even if second-hand.

Please fill out the poll based on statements you consider to be accurate. Feel free to add context in the replies. I genuinely want to understand your thoughts and perspectives even though my polls can appear to be quite silly sometimes.

To define penis for this poll, non-natal penises are included and you are welcome to mention if that is the case vs not if you're comfortable doing so.

Okay, so my mirror was kinda dirty. As promised in a prior post, I have cleaned it. https://lgbtqia.space/@h3mmy/115061823326933966

One picture taken before cleaning (cleanest part)
and after cleaning (same part)

The top is much more clear than expected and I'm wondering if I did something wrong. Did I use the wrong cleaner? I thought it was just vinegar but #Whimsday makes it difficult to depend on labels.

Requesting peer review and any recommended corrections I should make.

Thanks to everyone who responded to this poll and/or boosted it for visibility!  I deeply appreciate your contribution to #GoodBadScience

Alright, summary of this poll about rail networking

n = 91

First I'll break down the percentages by items. The apparent discrepancy will come from the "Other" section where I'm manually adding the relevant categories

81% of respondents like trains

75% of respondents have some sort of interest in a hypothetical scenario where they are controlling the machine while it's connected to me. I left this open for voyeurs that wouldn't necessarily want control but would be interesting in observing but most people did not interpret it that way.

68% recognized what the machine was to some extent. Those that read the alt text were much more certain.

There's a lot of inferences to be made here, with the note that it applies to a fairly small but active sample of people.

One of the inferences I was hoping to make was whether people would even be able to imagine a scenario where I wasn't acting as a stone top. Based on some comments and DMs, some people interpreted the Kat category as me being on the control end of things so I can't really conclude what I thought I might.

I'm glad that I've enlightened more people as to what this machine is, and happy to note that a large number of respondents have at least some interest in regular predictable mechanical systems.

10% of respondents answered the poll solely for the interest in trains.

14% were interested in me and/or the machine but not trains.

I know there's more inferences to be made, but I feel like I will need a follow up poll to feel confident about them. Stay tuned for that!

3 days left on this #Poll and 50 votes so far. Not bad in my opinion, but #GoodBadScience is often better with bigger sample sizes.

@MelkyWay
Yes!   Thank you!

The very first post in this #ContemplatingPupation series was a couple of mushrooms that made it look like I had antennae and then they developed googly eyes. If it's some form of cordyceps, this must be what happens when the growth medium is a very gay wild magic condensate.

*takes notes as rapidly as possible*

This is some #GoodBadScience

Alright, I've created responses as simple yes/no to three dimensions

Trains: Yes means you like trains, railway networks and may have a special interest (even if it's mild)

Kat: Me, h3mmy, BewilderedKat, for short to meet field length restrictions. Yes means you'd be interested in rails and me. You may elaborate in comments if you'd like

Machine: Yes means you know what the machine in the picture of the parent post is, and what it implies. If you are sort of sure, then consider it a yes.

Many of you know how much I like doing #GoodBadScience and I often like doing polls. Unfortunately, mastodon doesn't do polls and images in the same post. So I'll be attaching the related poll in a response to this one (the post you are currently reading).

Among the people that are able to see my posts, how many of them are interested in rail networking? Specifically in two contexts:

1. Rail networking for trains, etc
2. Rail networking for railing me

What is the overlap, and how many know what this device is?

Disclaimer: This is a hypothetical scenario at this time. Gentle reminder that I am aroace-spec and in sexual circumstances, I am often a stone top.

Despite sporulating many of these at #Blissfest2025 I seem to be still, at some level, #ContemplatingPupation and have no choice but to let the new life forms join the swarm of living organisms that form myself. They help ensure that I always have a wide spectrum of colors and diversity of being, especially on Whimsday

Am I gaining xp towards a dryad skill tree? What normally happens when a wild magic condensate spends extra time in nature? So many questions to contemplate...

Also, a shout out to @Trey who helped me break past my analysis paralysis to picking out the shots I should post here.  And one to @SaucySwampHag for the gift of #Whimsday

@avatastic @alice I suppose I must. Whenever I slap somebody's goose, they get all silly. This is clearly the hidden origin of the threat to slap someone silly

#GoodBadScience

I just keep finding new specimens everywhere. I suppose biodiversity is a good thing. At least some of them grow eyes and seem to be able to track novel things happening. I'm not really sure what I'm pupating into? But I feel a duty to see it through. For science!

And also to figure out how to not harm my friends with pollen allergies. That's important to me.

Yesterday's update: https://lgbtqia.space/@h3mmy/114801991016350145

Also, I hit my character limit with the alt text so here's the first part of it:

A mirror selfie of this enby wearing a cropped tank. You can see one part of their torso tattoo and some of the features of their arm tattoo. They're wearing their non-binary pendant as well as a necklace with a hoop supporting various short dangling chains that end in a sharp point. Their curly hair has deteriorated to waves as new plants and fungi have grown in.

The glow-in-the-dark blue duck is on their right side now, supervised by a non-googly-eyed toadstool. There are two additional toadstools with googly eyes looking at the viewer on either side of the brunette haired head. You see a pink clover on one side and a spring beauty on the other. In the center there is a daisy facing forward-ish, and a pink and blue leafed plant with googly eyes also staring into the soul of the viewer. A new addition is a pink-capped toadstool emerging sideways from underneath the hair around temple height.

Behind their shoulder, on the right of the frame, you see fronds of a blue and pink plant of some sort growing into view. Lower on the collar of the top is a plant with small green leaves and a bulbous fruit of an orange-red coloration. It looks like it might burst with fire if shit with an arrow. A red and yellow leafed plant is emerging from the upper part of the breast from behind their top. It has gained a googly eye on one of the leaves that is now trained on the viewer. Immediately above this is a new plant emerging. Its leaves turn white as the tip of the stem ends in a daffodil-like pattern.
