How do you unpack a season like this?
In February, the Amerks were sitting in 6th in our division. Out of the playoffs, and in the middle of a huge skid. But the boys looked adversity in the face and went "not today."
They fought tooth and nail down the stretch, and managed to tie for 2nd in the division. Playoffs started, and Syracuse went up 2-0 in the best of 5 series. But the boys looked adversity in the face and went "not today."
The Amerks pulled off the reverse sweep, knocking out Syracuse, only to face Toronto, the division's #1 seed by a long shot. But the boys looked adversity in the face and went "not today."
They swept Toronto to win the division title. Then it was on to Hershey. They took the first game, before dropping the next 3, in the best of 7. They looked elimination in the face yet again, and went "not today" pulling off a win to bring the series to a Game 6.
