Am I the only one who missed this announcement. I just now and then checked the local and global timelines on Mastodon, but on mastodon.social this not possible anymore and I miss it.

Would this maybe be a financial decision and how does this fit in with the idea of the Fediverse?

Interesting, the# web interface of my #mastodon instance just keeps adding to the #GlobalTimeline and after an hour or two, it starts to slow down significantly... Shouldn't it just unload old content after a while?
