I've been scanning lots of slides (using a Plustek OpticFilm 7200 scanner, circa 2005, and the VueScan software on Linux) and processing them in GIMP. After saving them as large JPGs, I also want to make smaller versions for posting for others to see.

In the past, I used a Script-fu for batch-resampling, but these no longer work in GIMP 3.0, so I looked around for an alternative - presto!

OK, @GIMP users!!! Install the Resynthesizer plugin! It's incredible! I installed using the @FlatpakApps and it was super easy! If Flathub could make finding plugins for apps like #GIMP easier though, that would be amazing. Great work to the devs! PLEASE keep it up. https://github.com/bootchk/resynthesizer/wiki/Install-Resynthesizer#flatpak #Resynthesizer #gimpplugin #linuxgraphics #linuxphotography #linuxapps #linux #plugins #flatpak #flathub #krita #plugin

I'd like a GIMP plugin that does the following in this order:
-corrects [layer] image gamma to a user-specified value (default 2.2)
-creates a copy of this new [layer] image
-desaturates the new [layer] image
-inverts the colour/value of the new [layer] image
-sets the new [layer] image's blend mode to 'soft light'
-merges new [layer] image with the original [layer] image
