Richard Barbieri - 'Stranger Inside' (2008)

This #RichardBarbieri solo album is a bit more rhythmic and accessible, but also full of experimental, proggy, electronic, atmospheric and dark instrumentals. Features #DannyThompson and #GavinHarrison. Intruiging. #Japanthon

Mick Karn - 'The Mick Karn Collector's Edition' (1997)

Fine sampler of #MickKarn's work for the CMP label. Tracks from his solo albums, his work with #DavidTorn & #TerryBozzio etc and featuring #GavinHarrison, #RichardBarbieri, #SteveJansen #NatachaAtlas and many more. #Japanthon

Mick Karn - 'The Tooth Mother' (1995)

Fourth #MickKarn solo album (featuring #GavinHarrison, #RichardBarbieri, #StevenWilson, #JakkoJakszyk, #NatachaAtlas and the terrific #DavidTorn). More grand abstract-jazz-world-funk-rock. Feta Funk! #Japanthon

#rocknroll #albumderwoche #gavinharrison #drums #progrock

Oh. And. The reason I'm getting such strong Porcupine Tree vibes on the album Blood is most certainly because the one and only #GavinHarrison is on drums. 😱
@fistfulofdave @Doctor_J_ Completely agree with the comments about #GavinHarrison --one of the finest, most musical drummers around.
KING CRIMSON’s JAKKO M. JAKSZYK Launches Official Video For New Album Title Track "Son Of Glen"

Jakko M. Jakszyk, perhaps most recently known as lead singer and second guitarist in King Crimson, recently announced his new solo album, Son Of Glen, set for release on June 27. The record is a companion piece of sorts to his acclaimed memoir ‘Who’s The Boy With The Lovely Hair’, that was released in October

BraveWords - Where Music Lives

So, I have opinions on the #ThePineappleThief show!

First of, let me clarify. I don't really consider myself a fan of the band. Of the songs they played tonight, I knew two, one of which I actually know the name of. But I do consider them to be one of the best bands in that general #ProgRock sphere, and whenever I hear a song of theirs I think "hey, that's a pretty good song".

When it comes to them performing live, their music feels quiet and sophisticated, but the heavier passages and solos hit all that much harder because of it. And lets not forget here that they have #GavinHarrison on drums too, and it's always such a treat to see and hear him perform.
