Is it just me or is Garlinge the wrong place for a load of new houses?

I’ve been looking into the efforts to put a whole load of new houses in Garlinge. Is it only me who thinks this is not a good fit for the area? It’s not like they include much by the way of social housing; this looks a bit like a fat money grab.

I’ve seen a lot of complaints and objections, which only go to strengthen my doubts that this build is right for the area. One wonders how TDC approved this in the first place.
