alrighty, the little jam game is done! Originally intended for #GWJ62, I missed that deadline and managed to barely squeeze it in for #CosmicHorrorsJam

things i had time for:
- the overall gameplay loop
- a couple of cards!
- a couple of enemies!
- someee sounds
- a tutorial
- bad writing

things i didn't have time for:
- variety. cards, enemies, art are all from a limited pool
- sound
- good writing
- balance/playtesting

CW: mild glitchy/flash effect

some large progress on my little jam game! still lots of visual stuff & audio to do but i've got a lot of the important things:

- a CRT shader
- a snazzy title screen
- a creepy... deer? creature?
- curséd abilities

still some bugs too, and uncertain if I'll be able to wrap up the bits I have remaining before #GWJ62 closes down (literally tomorrow 😬) but maaaybe. there's also different jam going on that this would be eligible for and has a couple more days

it's a Slay The Spirelike game about a haunted harvest.

first screen is a very rough stage select, then straight into the battle screen. no actions for the enemy (right pumpkin), but the player (left pumpkin) can attack and add block, draw cards, end turn, and has limited energy per turn.

it's shaping up! still very rough and card art is blegh but yea :)
