Death Anniversary of Tatya Tope – 18 April
Observed on 18 April, marking the execution of one of the key leaders of the 1857 Revolt.
Tatya Tope was a close associate of Nana Sahib and fought alongside Rani Lakshmibai. Known for his guerrilla warfare tactics, he led multiple campaigns and kept the resistance alive despite setbacks.
He was captured after betrayal and executed in 1859 at Shivpuri.
