He, Ricci, was simply not fast enough. Ok, he has to learn the car, and tyres (his words) but he knows the circuit very well, that must count for something. Today's drive was not good enough to get into a RedBull.
#Piastri could have used some advice (or study past starts) on that first corner. Nearly always ends bad when you want to squeeze through. A shame. He won't do that again, #verstappen learned that as well. It seems to me that#McLaren was suffering from insufficient practice to setup the car. Was there an issue with the gears they had chosen? Not enough straight line speed, hardly getting into 8th gear, looks like a setup issue.
