Had to deal with a poopsicle on our RV today. If you’re not familiar with the term, it’s a frozen sewer hose. Ours is heated, but we’ve been lazy and leaving the valves open rather than jumping once a week or so. The slow steady flow combined with the prolonged cold spell (the average temperature here, day and night, has been just 17°F for the whole of January) caused it.
It was just about has much fun to deal with as you can imagine. We’ll fill and dump now.
And to make things worse, you cannot buy an exact replacement for it. All the new ones have a different form factor (landscape vs portrait) and given the tight space ours was installed in, it means the only way it will fit is if I rotate it 90°.
Functionally it'll work just fine, but aesthetically a total mess.
After 7 years of RV full-time RV living I should be used to it by now, but why are so many RV products just so terrible?
Living in an RV is basically living in a tin can—except this can has wheels, and the neighbors can hear me yell at fictional characters.

Been quiet again lately... kinda tired and hyperfocusing on work stuff.
Back home in the RV, in our usual off grid spot in Northern Ontario. Planning to be here until the beginning of October. Not sure what's going to come next.
It’s so hot in the RV today, I tried to fry an egg on the counter. The egg said no. Said it’s union and doesn’t work past 90 degrees.
