@jimthewhyguy IMHO, you did not miss out on anything except on many sleepless nights, worries, arguments, and hurt that someone you basically put you live on hold and made huge sacrifices for just wants to get at "their" inheritance as quickly as possible...
In the best of cases you will have the satisfaction to have raised an honest, upstanding member of society, who will put their life on hold and make huge sacrifices for you once you need help (if you ever).
It's a huge gamble with the odds firmly stacked against you. However, one thing is sure: Once you started having #kids you will have to keep providing, which makes you much easier to manipulate, silence, and accept poor working and social conditions. That's why our American #ChristianTaliban are idealizing family and kids ... all about control.
I wonder how many parents talk themselves into believing it was the best decision of their life, simply because it's irreversible...
