Chandraprakash est un journaliste de chaîne info un peu hirsute et frustré dont la carrière toussote dans une impasse. Aigri de se voir ringardiser par un nouveau venu dans le paysage audiovisuel, il entame une transformation en se rasant et en passant chez le coiffeur, et devient le présentateur vedette d’une nouvelle chaîne de fake news turbo-droitarde et ultra-populiste.

Here we go, yet another classic leftist film, with the Tamils having perfected the formula: a great injustice + poor, innocent, and grieving people + violent, corrupt cops + a charismatic hero to set things right. This time, justice won’t be served by lifting the dhoti, dishing out slaps, setting the antagonist on fire, or even decapitating him, but by walking in slow motion through the courthouse halls, penal code in hand. ✊
