The two should not be linked. Money recouped from private schools by removing their charitable status should be invested in making state education so good that parents will be less inclined to send their kids to private schools.
#FreeSchoolMealsForAll is a different matter, addressing a different issue in our society. Personally, I'm not a fan of school meals at all, but that's just me maybe.
