@GNUmatic granted, CMAS and espechally BSAC do have a more "logged dive experience"-based ranking that does acknowedge adverse conditions.

OFC one can speedrun PADI OWSI with like 500 divers, but I don't see a good reason for that.

  • Instead people do mock #PADI with the slogan*"Put All Dollars In"*, but for better or worse they are the MasterCard of certifications.

Obviously the nicest spots are somewhat "skill-gated" cuz no serious operator of a diveclub or liveaboard will let freshly certified rookies go at arms lenght with a Longimanus.

  • And whilst many clubs nowadays bundle #Nitrox with OWD and offer #FreeNitrox as the typical recreational MOD is 40m anyway, that isn't considered "tech diving" because it doesn't push the envelope.

Also the Problem is and remains: Dudes that refuse to accept limits

  • And those that do flatline believe they are invincible to medical and physical facts! I mean, Yuri Lipski was declined for all the right reasons by all the responsible #diveguides in the area, yet he chose to curbstomp the rules that exist for reasons and would've prevented his demise if he followed!

@SlicerDicer #Nitrox is such a relief that almost all bases and ships I can recommend cuz I know them offer "#FreeNitrox (32%)" for certified divers as upgrade, and the #BlieSeas in Egypt does Nx28 for free unless one's not having certicification or explicitly doesn't want it.

But granted, they won't let people dive on their tours if they didn't have an AOWD-equivalent & boat diving experience logged anyway.
