Previously, it was believed that humans did not reach the #Americas until a few thousand years before rising sea levels covered the #BeringLandBridge between #Russia and #Alaska, perhaps about 15,000 years ago.

Reaching out across hundreds of millions of years... this and many more sauropod footprints (with tracks criss-crossing each other on enormous limestone slabs) was discovered in the 1980s in a commercial quarry. It's now a national monument, preserving a prehistoric treasure and giving visitors a chance to touch a trace of these ancient creatures.
