Two iris plants from the 18th century gardens at Fontevraud Abbey, near Chinon in the Loire Valley, France. The abbey also has a large garden of medicinal herbs.

Fontevraud Abbey houses the tombs of Eleanor of Aquitaine, Henry II, Richard I (Richard The Lionheart). It is run now as a hotel (lovely). See Wiki
