After spending most of my 35-year career in fisheries oceanography working on fisheries sustainability science, I have now turned my hand to helping game fishers catch tunas and marlin. There are times when I think that I've gone to the dark side, but the problem is interesting, and there are management measures in place for these recreational fisheries.

SST map for the west coast of the North Island, New Zealand from my game fishing maps (www.fishingmaps.info). Cooler water all the way out to the shelf edge (200 m) on the west coast off the Kaipara Harbour. Warmer water is west of the 400 m contour, to the north from the Kaipara.

It turns out that Ecwid (the ecommerce site that I use) has a well documented API that allowed me to batch update my maps using Python.
