First try on the Heart Nebula❤️ in the Heart and Soul Cluster in Cassiopeia.

The Fish Head Nebula🐟 is also to be seen at the bottom of the photo.

Tricky thing this, processing astro photography pics😅.

Good Tuesday morning. Last night decided to set 2 long duration observations with the s50. In my opinion results were mixed. First sharing my observation of #IC1805 #TheHeartNebula. After about 2.5 hours this mosaic was put together. 452 images used. The #FishHeadNebula is visible at the upper left of the image. #seestar #S50 #space #astronomy #amateur
The Heart Nebula
=============

For some reason, I keep coming back to this object. I just love all of those fine details in the heart nebula and it's neighbour, the fish head nebula.

In the center of the heart nebula, there's a small open cluster of stars, called Melotte 15. These stars are responsible for the ionization of the surrounding gas, making it glow in the characteristic red hue of hydrogen alpha emissions.

The fish head nebula, also known as IC 1795, is a bright emission nebula, located in the same star-forming region as the heart nebula. It's a bit fainter than its neighbour, but still shows a lot of fine details.

IC 1795: The Fishhead Nebula

To some, this nebula looks like the head of a fish. However, this colorful cosmic portrait really features glowing gas and obscuring dust clouds in IC 1795, a star forming region in the northern constellation Cassiopeia. The nebula's colors were created by adopting the Hubble color palette.

APOD: 2024 May 1 – IC 1795: The Fishhead Nebula

A different astronomy and space science related image is featured each day, along with a brief explanation.

#SkyWatch #Astrophotography The #FishheadNebula aka #IC1795 is located in the #Cassiopeia constellation. It is an active star-forming area about 6000 light years away. This image is 24 five-minute exposures captured in the wee hours of Friday morning. #StillLearning
#SkyWatch #Astrophotography #IC1795 aka the #FishheadNebula is part of a larger star forming area 6000 light years from Earth. This image is comprised of 10 five-minute exposures made with my 715mmm telescope and a dual band filter to emphasize the hydrogen in the gas cloud. #StillLearning
#SkyWatch #Astrophotography On cloudy nights, I have been learning more about processing by revisiting some recent targets. The #HeartNebula is an emission nebula 7500 light years from Earth. This is my favorite target so far and I look forward to capturing more (better) data . The bright area at the bottom is the #FishheadNebula #StillLearning
Out again tonight, gathering #Oiii data on #IC1795 #FishHeadNebula to add to last night’s #Ha data. Hoping for another clear night soon to get the #Sii data #astrophotography
Looking pretty clear out! First chance to give the #observatory since the #refurb I hope it lasts. I need to get some good #astrophotography data on the #FishHeadNebula #IC1795
