It's been 17 years since I made my first website, so I'm resharing an article I wrote back in 2024 to encourage others to make their own.

15 years of running a personal website | Stefan Bohacek

A brief history of my personal website's domains.

Internet itself is older RT @stefan: "On August 6, 1991 [34 years ago], the first website was introduced to the world. [It] contained information about the World Wide Web Project. It launched at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN, where it was created by British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee."

Unless I count my Myspace profile page, I made my first real website in 2009. My early web presence was about self-expression as I used my site to share my artwork.

Nowadays I enjoy writing tutorials and making tools.

In either case, my favorite part has always been connecting with others and sharing stuff I've made, and that has never changed.
