“It’s colloquial wisdom that the wealth of colonial Australia was built off the sheep’s back, but it is seldom acknowledged that the vast natural grasslands graziers depended on had been culturally managed by Aboriginal people for more than 30,000 years.”

A big thank you to the CFA and community who worked together to protect our families and property during the #GrampiansFire on Boxing Day. The fire broke out 20km from the #grampiansnp with the westerly wind change on Thursday, creating a fire front 338km long. 74,000 hectares burnt yet few reported houses lost. It is a testament to the work of fire fighting volunteers, locals and airwing. #fire #bushfire #westernvictoria #christmasfire
Time to return the Grampians to #firestickfarming to reduce the build up of under story fuel and protect the plants and animals and Country. #biodiversity
