Whew. Just finished #TheBadBatch. It was good, not exactly what I expected, but still had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
I’m gonna miss these characters. And at the risk of asking for a spin-off of a spin-off of a prequel… what’s next for long-form Star Wars animation? 😅

As a fan of both The High Republic *and* fresh Star Wars stories, I’m stoked about The Acolyte. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying The Bad Batch (but haven’t seen today’s yet, no spoilers!). I enjoyed Ahsoka and am looking forward to whatever is next in the Filoni/Mandoverse era.

The premiere season of Ahsoka on Disney + ended with an important reveal: Dark Jedi and mercenary Baylan Skoll made the journey to Peridea not to serve Morgan Elsbeth or Grand Admiral Thrawn but to find ancient relics and knowledge left behind by the Mortis Gods, central figures in the Force in Dave Filnoi’s Star Wars stories. But tragically, Baylan Skoll actor Ray Stevenson passed away following production of the first season of Ahsoka, leaving the future of the character uncertain. Kim Horcher makes a strong case for why the character should be recast, and why it might be the most respectful option to keep the character going.
For those not watching #TheMandalorian... GET ON IT! Tonight's episode is really the start of the #filoniverse and I am here for it! The threads of fate are being spun... I can't wait for all the shows to come together!

Finishing The Bad Batch. In general, it's just been a show I've kept on in the background (in tonight's case, while catching up on freelance work)...which is a shame, because all animation should be watched.
But the #Filoniverse doesn't seem worth giving undivided attention to. It's just...too much to care about. Quantity over quality, ultimately.
(Also, the series finale cliffhanger/finale opening is giving me big Boiling Rock ATLA vibes.)
