When I was on the birb site that every minute or two I get a refresh for 25 more AlgorithmTimeline updates.
Compared to here so far it's about 5-10 toots every minute or two... And growing!!!!
What's left of my timeline on Twitter is about 60-80% automat d posts and a few peeps that are hanging on there taking the wait and see approach....
I'm not deleting my account just yet as I have a TON of content there so am investigating using Mastadon as a primary and backing up some stuff there as long as free accounts are treated the same as paid for accounts.... Which seems to be changing based on the #FreeDepreciationAlgo I have been monitoring based on my stats... Ugh.
I.T.'s _Very depreciated_ iF you promote #mastadon it seems since the whole 'comedy I.S. BACK(fired!?)' vibe over there is... Troubling.
As a journalist watching what is happening to how the new paymasters for journalism to get yh checkmark or 'get depreciated algowise' and how it's treated there post M&A...
Ugh... Sad day for using Twitter freely as a journalist.... Especially iF you scoff at the $8 a month desperate ploy for money's plays.
