@ami_angelwings For #FavCharacterT I'm going with the *other* boy-turned-hero in the Riftwar books, the "might" to Pug's "magic": Tomas Megarson, the boy who got his wish and nearly lost his humanity along the way. He gets sidelined a lot, "Magician" being Pug's book after all, and later volumes move on to other main cast. But when he shows up he always makes an impression, and he gets a decent share of great moments.

@ami_angelwings I struggled with T, had a few ideas like Tetsuo, Thomas Riker, and Toejam, but then realised I could use "Takenoko" from The Tale of Princess Kaguya, which wrecks me every time I see it.

@ami_angelwings #FavCharacterT in time travel is a bit of a toss up. We don't have anyone from Time Tunnel yet, and Tony Newman would fit the bill (Doug Phillips lost out in D's).

However, having picked Bill S Preston for "B", I feel compelled to choose Theodore Logan for "T", to complete the duo. (From Bill & Ted, the films and the comics.)

Much like how I picked both Kurisu Makise and Rintaro Okabe, I don't want to break up a matched set. #FavCharacterAtoZ

About twenty years ago, I began writing extensively about a trans reading of THE MATRIX. I may have been one of the first to do so, though I can't prove that. The Wachowskis' trans status was mere rumor then, and I didn't want to be accidentally outing anyone, so the work sat on a harddrive until that harddrive needed to be reformatted. 😕

Trinity is just so cool. So iconic. She is everything Neo wants to be, half of The One that he will become.

@ami_angelwings #FavCharacterT: Lieutenant Tisarwat, introduced in the Ancillary Justice sequel Ancillary Sword.

She's a caring, mostly decent person. Has a subconscious drive to take over the world that the Fleet Captain steers her away from.

She's dealing with, um, an unprecedented personal crisis in the midst of an unprecedented political crisis. Her mental health is dire and she's on medication much of the time. Nonetheless she spends every day helping people, making friends, plotting, subverting the government (complimentary), and so forth.

As someone on medication (for, um, non-science fiction reasons), it affects me to see characters who are struggling, receiving treatment, but still complex and well-rounded and capable and so forth.

By the end of the series, thanks to an idea the Fleet Captain suggested but only Tisarwat could execute, she's maybe one of the most pivotal figures in the history of human space (though almost no one knows it).

(I could say some of the same things about Seivarden, but her situation is somewhat different and I picked someone else for "S".)

My favorite character beginning with T is my neighbor. Totoro. May they ever make our veggies grow into huge trees and take us on an adventure in their catbus.
