I watched this yesterday over lunch. It looks really cool.
It gave me another idea, because I'm planning to leave my #DxCommander Classic out/up all winter. But we get snow. I don't want snow/ice built up right on the SO239.
So - #FaradayCloth cut like an Xmas tree skirt. Coated on one side with something waterproof-ish (makes it have only one conductive side, probably). Put it around the mast between the 2 plates, with the slit opposite the feedpoint, conductive side down.
