Enkele weken geleden begon ik aan een nieuwe collage. Maar wat er uit kwam beviel me niet. Dat gebeurt wel vaker en dat is frustrerend maar ja, het hoort erbij. Meestal leg ik zo’n ‘work in progress’ dan even weg om er op een later moment nog eens naar te kijken en eventueel aan verder te werken. Maar ook bij de tweede en derde blik kon het me niet overtuigen. Uiteindelijk besloot ik het werk om te draaien en aan de achterkant verder te werken: die achterkant beviel me beter en bood meer mogelijkheden.
Nu is dit het resultaat en dat bevalt me een stuk beter.

FAR SIDE
A few weeks ago I started working on a collage. I wasn’t happy with the result. This happens more often. It’s kind of frustrating but well, it’s also part of the process.
Usually I put those works in progress down to have a second look some time later. But also with the second and third look I wasn’t convinced. Finally I decided to turn the collage and to continue working on the back side. I liked this side better and it offered more opportunities. Now this is the result.
