Yet another match decided by the terrible "deliberate knock-on" law. Italy weren't realistically going to win, but they were still in touch and that 4th try kills the game, and never happens with Lynagh on the field.

Well, at the end of the day, Italy were never really able to capitalise on their chances, and France mostly were.
