a 3d doodling tool for hardcore cronopios
#3d #tool #drawing #f3d
Cam Pedersen just released a small rust library to programatically create CAD models campedersen.com/vcad #vcad
I asked gemini to use #f3d to generate screenshots of the result, and tasked it to create a 3D model of a 'square-ish basket', looking at the vcad README for examples. The first output was not great, with flying handles, etc., so I said "look at the picture, and check what is wrong". It figured out the issues, and generated this.
Next: "build a complete robot for me, pretty please!"

Experimenting with bounties!
We just added bounties on long standing macOS and Windows issues. I have no idea if it will work out but we hope it may be a way to fix these long standing issues!
You can read about our approach to bounties here: https://f3d.app/CONTRIBUTING.html#bounties

F3D is now sponsoring some of the projects we rely on!
⛴️ Exhibit: 5$/month: Because we love that Nokse is sharing F3D with other communities! (https://github.com/Nokse22)
🖼️ Dear ImGui: 4$/month: Because without it we would not have a nice UI (https://lnkd.in/ez4KYheh)
⚙️ nlohmanjson: 1$/month: Because json parsing is essential in F3D design (https://lnkd.in/egq73YpD)
Please do not forget to sponsor the tools you use, this is how open source project thrive! 🙂
