Vertical Silence

Inside this golden maze of light, everything slowed down. It was also part of Expo.02 - an installation of vertical threads shimmering between substance and illusion. One could walk through it, yet never quite grasp it.
Every step dissolved the boundary between space and self.

I remember the air - warm, electric, almost sacred. People moved quietly, as if afraid to disturb the geometry of light. For a moment, it felt like standing inside time itself - a cathedral without walls, built only from reflection and breath.

Years later, this image still hums in my memory - a fragment of light suspended between past and presence.

Draped Sky

In 2002, Switzerland held its last national exhibition, Expo.02 — a bold, fragile experiment stretched along the lakes of the Jura region. Four sites, four ephemeral worlds, suspended between water and sky. Architecture wrapped in fabric, light, and sound - fleeting visions of what the future might have been, shimmering for one short summer.

For me, it was more than an exhibition.
It was a landscape of discovery - of stillness, curiosity, and that peculiar mix of melancholy and pride that only the Jura evokes.

The region had always felt different: raw, slower, a little distant from the pulse of Zürich or Geneva. Yet that distance is what made it magnetic - a place where silence has texture, and the horizon breathes wider.

This photograph - the sky draped in fabric - is a memory of that stillness. Of a time when everything felt possible, even if just for a moment. When clouds and canvas seemed to belong to the same dream.
