For too many years, marketers have run amok, pandering to ego-driven #excess #headlamp #brightness levels, while #standards agencies have slept. The #roads are more #dangerous for all of us as a result.

Plus they bloody hurt the eyes of many of us, and have a tiresome effect, degrading overall levels of #road #safety for everyone.

a couple of places including Google "AI" said this cover is by Derek Riggs although it looks like Jack Kirby to me. I guess that design style became ubiquitous, idk, I don't really know much about comics.

I love it when the future is shiny and ornate. The design paradigm is to make things at least as beautiful as they are functional. This guy has some kind of rocket sled or pack that also has finely wrought decorative winged horses. 🤣 I love the expression on the face. Is that a hero or a villain? For some reason I pick them as the hero because that ship looks like the carriage of an evil emperor. If that's not an oil rig (it looks too fancy) then how cool to have some kind of sleek offshore habitat/facility?
