#EthicalMarche in #MimataTown. It was a lot of fun. We thought we'd just go there for "brunch" and got there around 10:30. There were so many adults for chatting, kids for running, dogs for petting there that we didn't get back 'till after 2:00. It was too stimulating to eat there. I was barely able to drink coffee, kept misplacing the cup. So we brought back to the house a healthy vegan meal made be a sweet old lady that lives in the neighborhood. I met an old friend met through anti-nuke events over 15 years ago. People I knew from organic festivals were there along with local people doing all sorts of good community work. Community events need places for the kids to play. The trampoline and little playground worked out really well. The kids could run around and play work off some of their energy while the Moms ate and talked... It's so nice to participate in gatherings that are less than a 5-minute drive from the house. I would have biked over, but it was a bit rainy and my better-half wanted to go to so we went in the tiny K-car with an engine the turns off if you brake gently enough to a stop..
