L'Unità: Omicidio del fondatore di Mango, arrestato in Spagna il figlio di Isak Andic: precipitò durante un’escursione in montagna

Jonathan Andic, figlio dello storico fondatore di Mango, Isak Andic, è stato arrestato dai Mossos d’Esquadra, la polizia catalana, per l’omicidio del padre.
Andic, fondatore del marchio di abbigliamento Mango nel 1984 insieme al fratello maggiore Nahaman, oggi un gruppo multinazionale con 2.700 negozi in 110 Paesi e 14 mila dipendenti, più di 70 solo in Italia, morì il 14 dicembre del 2024 precipitando in un burrone durante un’escursione sul monte Montserrat, nella provincia di Barcellona.
Con lui, come emerso dalle indagini, c’era solamente il figlio Jonathan: quest’ultimo aveva sempre sostenuto che il padre fosse precipitato accidentalmente durante l’escursione che inizialmente non si era accorto dell’incidente capitato al padre perché stava molti metri davanti a lui.
Tesi evidentemente respinta dagli inquirenti spagnoli, con i Mossos d’Esquadra che lo hanno tratto in arresto e trasferito al tribunale di Martorell per un nuovo interrogatorio.

La morte di Isak Andic era già stata al centro di una prima indagine nel gennaio 2025, archiviata per mancanza di prove di reato. Quindi il caso era stato riaperto puntando il focus proprio sul figlio maggiore dell’imprenditore, presente con lui al momento dell’incidente e unico erede maschio dell’impero della moda fondato dal padre. Dopo la morte del fondatore, Jonathan era diventato presidente di Mango e della holding Mng, con le sorelle Judith e Sarah come vicepresidenti.
A pesare come un macigno sono le testimonianze contro Jonathan, a partire dal quella di Estefania Knuth, compagna di Isak Andic, che avrebbe parlato di un rapporto difficile tra padre e figlio, incrinato da tensioni familiari e divergenze sulla gestione dell’azienda. Da qui la scelta degli investigatori di disporre ulteriori e approfonditi accertamenti sul telefono di Jonathan e sulla dinamica della caduta sul monte Montserrat.
Un portavoce autorizzato della famiglia ha sottolineato che la collaborazione di Jonathan Andic con le autorità nell’ambito delle indagini sulla morte del padre “è stata e sarà massima”.

Jonathan Andic, son of the founder historian of Mango, Isak Andic, was arrested by the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Catalan police, for the murder of his father.
Andic, founder of the Mango clothing brand in 1984 together with his older brother Nahaman, today a multinational group with 2,700 stores in 110 countries and 14,000 employees, more than 70 in Italy alone, died on December 14, 2024, after falling into a ravine during a hike on Mount Montserrat, in the Barcelona province.
With him, as emerged from the investigation, was only his son, Jonathan: he had always maintained that his father had fallen accidentally during the excursion, not realizing the accident that had happened to his father because he was many meters ahead of him.
A thesis evidently rejected by Spanish investigators, with the Mossos d’Esquadra arresting and transferring him to the Martorell court for a new interrogation.

The death of Isak Andic had already been at the center of a first investigation in January 2025, archived for lack of evidence of criminal wrongdoing. Therefore, the case had been reopened, focusing on the eldest son of the entrepreneur, who was present with him at the time of the incident and the only male heir to the fashion empire founded by his father. After the founder’s death, Jonathan had become president of Mango and Mng holding, with the sisters Judith and Sarah as vice presidents.
Weighing heavily are the testimonies against Jonathan, starting with those of Estefania Knuth, Isak Andic’s partner, who reportedly spoke of a difficult relationship between father and son, strained by family tensions and disagreements over the management of the company. This is why investigators ordered further and more detailed investigations into Jonathan’s phone and the dynamics of the fall on Mount Montserrat.
An authorized family spokesperson emphasized that Jonathan Andic’s collaboration with authorities in the investigation into his father’s death “has been and will be maximum.”
