UCSF Science Policy Group Provides Education and Advocacy Opportunities in Science Policy

The Science Policy Group at UCSF educates students, postdocs, and staff about the connections between science and policy in their local community and beyond. Team members Sneha Rao and Rachel Murro share the group's recent successes and upcoming plans.

"One of our recent successes was hosting a documentary screening of Atomic Homefront followed by a panel featuring the grassroots organization in the documentary, JustMomsSTL. We are continuing to work with JustMomsSTL to bridge the conversation between the community, scientists and legislatures."

Promoting Science Policy, Education, and Research (ProSPER) at Washington University in St. Louis creates a platform for graduate students to practice science communication skills and connect with their local community.
