I'm also against #DST, but *at very least* an international treaty should exist so majority of world countries to *change on same day of year*.

💡I *never* pin a meeting in a calendar to UTC/GMT. Instead, I always pin it to *someone's* local TZ. While it's annoying to others that it may move, at least the calendar software will give the correct meeting time.

I'm a pro at TZ changes for beginning & end of a conference, but that usually involves a long ✈️, etc.

#SCaLE is only event I attend w/ TZ change on the penultimate day of the event! (California entered Daylight Savings Time (#DST) 7 hrs ago.)

Speculating: I bet this isn't by coincidence. I bet the Pasadena Convention Center gives discounts for booking DST weekend! If so, ingenious move, @socallinuxexpo!

I'm much more in favor of switching the whole globe to Swatch Internet Time than #EndDST. With the markets going token-based and 24hr it's not like the current system is even meeting our economic needs any longer. Give us all the same time and let us figure it out. I'd actually be interested to watch the cultural consequences unfold of every country being on the "same" time.
