The plant editor prototype is a mess right now, but can already make some really cool stuff. I know there hasn't been an update release in a while, but I want to keep working on V 0.5.2 for a little longer.
A new part category, "Minerals" will be available in the hut and plant editors soon! It will allow you to decorate your creations with different rocks to better integrate them into the environment. Right now only round-ish clay rocks are available, but it will be expanded with metal, crystals, and more in the future!
While we're still working on plant editor shaders and textures on Discord, I already started planning one of the editors for medieval stage. It's already on the roadmap, but not 100% confirmed yet. https://trello.com/c/dmHkdJBE
Wind animations have been added to the foliage! The intensity can be changed at runtime for certain weather events.
I spent some time to create development tools, to help me better organize the project. Here for example, I can lookup groups of status effects to see by what abilities or environments they are caused.
Here is a more advanced example of the foliage shader, where it forms a bush that gets colored with a world-space gradient.
Here's a first look at one of the new foliage shaders! This is just a quick example. It can be used with different types of leaves and will support wind and color effects.
Started working on some fancy foliage shaders for the plant editor.
The editor will soon allow you to create high quality renders like these of your creatures, plants and buildings! You can combine this with the camera alignment key (C) to make them perfectly front-facing.
