Tomorrow will be the anniversary of the death of Germany's first female physicist with a doctorate: Elsa Neumann. In her doctoral thesis of 1899, she had studied an effect that had been theoretically predicted, the so-called #WarburgImpedance. It can be observed in many bioelectronical experiments, whenever alternating electric fields come in contact with aqueous solutions. #ElsaNeumann died shortly before her 30th birthday in a #workaccident in the #lab on July 23, 1902.
