On Friday, May 5th, I was privileged to be invited to Edmonton’s Queer Youth Prom, back live and in person for the first time since COVID hit. Sponsored by the Edmonton Pride Centre and organized by the indefatigable Kristy Harcourt, the dance is a chance for LGBQT youth from metro Edmonton to celebrate in a safe and welcoming space. To protect the privacy of the teens, I didn’t photograph them - but I did try to capture the joy of the evening in this reel.
