I've just uploaded my latest post on the #Dunnett blog.
This one may be slightly controversial!!

This one might be a bit controversial! Anyone who s read my Twitter/X contributions over the last few years (and increasingly Bluesky now that Musk has driven so many away from X) will probably have seen some of my responses when people post overly macho choices for our favourite hero to...

Lovely to see some old friends for the first time in 5 years at the #Dunnett Society Edinburgh weekend opening meal tonight. Haven't been home since 2020 due to rheumatic polymialgia - so far the knees are holding up if a little sore and I'm not too tired. See how tomorrow goes.
A charming #Dunnett squeak - I was researching Tudor mansion images for Linda Gillard's new book and came across a Wikimedia collection of old prints. The very first one I clicked on turned out to be Penshurst - home of Sir Philip Sydney in Ringed Castle! https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:The_mansions_of_England_in_the_olden_time_1906_(149055403).jpg

The Iceland volcano eruption has me thinking #Dunnett thoughts. Kathi and Claes bonding was one of my favorite bits of the #Niccolo series. @dunnettcentral
Sadly I've been forced to concede that I'm not going to be able to travel back to my home city for the #Dunnett Centenary Gathering in April - my recovery from the last year's rheumatic condition just isn't quite far enough on to make it feasible. To anyone who is going; I'm sorry that I'll miss meeting up with you and catching up with all my old friends from across the world. Safe journeys and have a great time.
@dougbrown93 it's not old enough for Niccolo's period but it will give #Dunnett readers a wee squeak.
A new map view, using the already excellent National Library Scotland map data, has appeared.

Dorothy, who was a Trustee of the NLS, would surely have loved these developments.
