After three years in this flat, idly wondering why the TV socket in the bedroom didn’t give much signal, I’ve now discovered that the landlord had connected it not to a nice distribution network, but to an input socket in the lounge. I’ve now plugged a £20 splitter/booster box in there and all is well! (Streaming over WiFi had done a decent job of making up for it, but I was clearly missing live TV more than I realised.)
