On most Mondays, I watch an episode of a TV show. Today's episode comes from Due South. Ostensibly a police procedural, Due South follows the adventures of RCMP Constable Benton Fraser as he tries to solve the mystery of his father's murder with the begrudging assistance of his Chicago PD friend, Ray Vecchio. Paul Gross plays Benton Fraser straight but his unique perspective and attitudes lead Fraser to a style of "policing" that's not only at odds with Chicago but also at odds with real policing in Canada.
