One of my favorite buildings in downtown Oklahoma City. This midcentury modern former Downtown Library (1954 by Winkler & Reid) was turned into mixed-use redevelopment in 2014. Hidden gem.

I am still amazed how making an illustration of a city takes me to that place for a while, like a mental vacation. This illustration took me back to Oklahoma City, the place where I lived for 5 years. Oklahoma has arguably the most spectacular sunsets in the US and sometimes the sky seems to be on fire. Inspiring for sure!
