Pepper's best friend Louie was in the animal hospital for a while. He was just released yesterday, and they got to see each other today. They were ecstatic, and it was adorable.
Pepper says happy #Mondog! I wish I could turn my head that far. It would make backing out of the driveway a lot easier.
So one of Pepper's little quirks is that he's VERY easily startled, so I was kind of proud of him today.
A random dude we walked past in the opposite direction made a very sudden move to... scritch Pepper's head. Kind of startled ME a little bit.
But Pepper was just like, "I got scritches! Yay!"
That dude probably shouldn't be making sudden moves to scritch the heads of #dogs he doesn't know, and that's a whole other issue.
But Pepper handled it well.
My second-favorite mammal. On the #Georgetown campus in #WashingtonDC.
I'm pretty sure we spotted #MerrickGarland while we were out walking the other day. He was on the phone, though -- probably with someone important like Jack Smith or something -- so it didn't seem like an appropriate moment to stop and ask "Excuse me, are you Merrick Garland?"
Pepper's pooping habits changed when he was with the dogsitter. He's demanding very early, very urgent walks. Which is fine for now, because I'm jetlagged and waking up ridiculously early anyway, but hopefully his new schedule doesn't outlast my jetlag.
Pepper hates (but begrudgingly tolerates) boots.
