The first-ever United Nations resolution was on disarmament.

Since then, the UN has spearheaded the development of a comprehensive framework for disarmament, including many international treaties.

“Disarmament and non-proliferation are critical not only to a peaceful future, but to our very existence,” #UnitedNations Secretary-General @antonioguterres has said.

As Disarmament Week gets underway, let us seek every opportunity to create a safer, more peaceful world for all.
