I told @djmeph tonight, "One of the nicest things you can do for me is to introduce me to a new restaurant that you love" and he did exactly that by taking me out for dinner at Galata Sweets in Dearborn, Michigan tonight.

In 2019 I visited Denmark, and one of the very first people I met was the taxi driver who took me to my hotel, and he was Turkish. I asked him about where to get good Turkish food in Copenhagen because, and I quote myself, "There is no Turkish food in Detroit". That is definitely no longer true.

Turkish coffee served with delightful pieces of pomegranate Turkish delight, massive döner kebab on stunning Turkish bread, and kumpir, a garlic and butter-whipped baked potato loaded with all kinds of toppings (served only on Wednesdays and Fridays) were all spectacular.

Grateful to my buddy for knowing me well enough to know I would absolutely love this place. ❤️
