Ecometeorology Lab
Do earlier springs and higher atmospheric CO2 lead to greater productivity in northern forests and wetlands over multi-decade time periods? Not as consistently as we think... Instead we found less snow = colder soils = later springs, while higher CO2 = higher AMax = but same GPP! New #DesaiLab group lab paper written during pandemic and now in JGRBiogeo on 25-year Ameriflux observations at the ChEAS cluster: Drivers of decadal carbon fluxes across temperate ecosystems https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/2022JG007014
New #DesaiLab paper by PhD student Sreenath Paleri
(defending in spring, hire him!) + #CHEESEHEAD19 crew - big contribution of mesoscale eddies to near-surface airborne eddy covariance energy fluxes: https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/2022JD037138
New #DesaiLab paper by PhD student Jess Turner: Turner, J., Desai, A.R., Blackstock, J.M., and Smith, D., 2022. Tidal Influence on Dissolved CO2 at Sapelo Island, Georgia, USA.
