If anyone's interested in what dental insurance I got that's finally allowing me to get my mouth fixed, it's Physicians Mutual Individual Dental. My premium is $56.50 a month, there's no annual maximum.

So far, I've had an exam, x-rays, & descaling (aka debridement). In-network dentist charged $625, insurance paid $214, dentist wrote off the remainder. Going for some drilling & filling next week, we'll see how that claim goes.

Sitting in the #dentist's waiting room waiting to get called in for your cleaning is NOT the time to find out that your dentist is now 'out-of-network' for your #DentalInsurance, possibly exceeded only by finding out after your cleaning.

The fact that #DentalInsurance manages (in some ways) to out-suck medical insurance by having "annual maximum benefits", rather than an out of pocket maximum is amazingly stupid.

I swear you need another insurance plan, just for dealing with all the bs from the insurance company(s). So frustrating!
