The crossfader on my DENON PRIME GO went iffy again, this time the unit is out of warranty.
So it has been replaced by an aftermarket "Innofader" mini fader.
Working well so far, a few days in...

pre-generated stems as a $10 extra on all #enginedj hardware
to quote: "Denon DJ promised real-time stem separation to Prime 4+ owners over a year ago now, and…it’s still not here. But in the meantime, they’ve announced something new; Stems which you can prepare in their Engine desktop software, and then export with your files to use standalone - and not just with the Prime 4+, but with all Engine OS hardware to date."

The crossfader on my DENON PRIME GO is failing again.
It's already been fixed once while under warranty.
Now the unit is out of warranty.
For now I've just turned the crossfader off in the settings, as I can just play without the crossfader.
Now seriously considering installing an
INNOFADER which is supposed to be a good upgrade.

(edit) also: there is another fault with the unit, the XLR balanced main outs don't work either, which has been an issue for a few months. Fortunately the RCA (unbalanced) and booth (balanced) outs still work with great sound quality.
So it's disappointing that the unit has issues.. but OK that I can continue to use it.
I could just purchase the newly released DENON PRIME GO+ but I can "do the thing" fine with this unit, and I'll see about it's repairability.
Now that house moving chaos is mostly over I've returned to messing about with music.
I'd set up my DJ gear quickly when I first moved in, but something wasn't quite sounding right but I was too busy to problem solve.
After prepping for a set and getting fed up with the thin sound coming out of my (usually excellent sounding) DENON PRIME GO, I've found the main XLR balanced outs seem fried.. they work, but at lower volume and with reduced bass.
But - the balanced TRS BOOTH out and the unbalanced RCA outs work perfectly and sound great.. for now I'll just tape over the XLR outs and use these.
Perhaps in future I'll open it up and see if there is anything fixable there...
Some of the Denon / Engine DJ hardware has been rumoured to support bluetooth , but the software didn't..
Until the latest release of Engine DJ.. (v3.4)
So now bluetooth keyboards and audio in are supported as a new feature on this DJ gear I've had for more than a year.. nice...
new Engine DJ version 3.3 released.
including the much requested feature:
"Added the ability to switch the Prime GO VU meters to show channel levels"
plus a bunch of other stuff that looks OK.
I just loaded it up and played a few tracks and it didn't crash or glitch, always a good start 🙂
