But for tonight, I will say that these ideas really won't help here. If Trump gets in, he will disregard any UN charters, treaties, and laws. He has no regard for international laws or respect for treaties, as he has repeatedly proven.

And I sincerely doubt our bureaucracy can pass any legislation before he takes office, anyway. The obstructionists in the GOP would not allow it, even if our government were actually able to act that quickly (which it's not).

So while they are probably lofty and valuable goals, I don't see them as a defense against Fascism in the immediate future-- in the long term, perhaps, but not for this election.

It really will be up to the voters to stop #Fascism in 2024. There is no cavalry coming over the hill to save our #democracy. We must be our own heroes.
