Une cinquantaine d’effacements et installations de dispositifs de franchissement sur le bassin versant de l’Yzeron
Une cinquantaine d’ouvrages ont été supprimés ou aménagés d’un dispositif de franchissement piscicole sur la rivière Yzeron, et ses affluents. Ces travaux de restauration ont permis de rétablir la circulation piscicole et notamment l’accès à des zones de reproduction et à deux zones de refuge du bassin versant où l’eau est fraîche et plus abondantes durant les étés : l’Yzeron amont et le ruisseau du Ratier.
Les résultats du suivi génétique ont mis en évidence des mouvements migratoires entre les sites décloisonnés notamment sur le cours principal de l’Yzeron, le ruisseau de Charbonnières, le Ratier et la Milonière. Avant travaux, les populations de truites étaient isolées avec un taux important de consanguinité et donc une faible diversité génétique.
Les pêcheurs qui étaient initialement réticents aux dérasements de seuils ont très rapidement été conquis par le projet au regard des résultats positifs des pêches électriques tant sur les aspects quantitatifs que qualitatifs.

Free-flowing rivers: Commission advises how to select sites and finance removal of obsolete barriers
